January 19, 2010
Some small start-up businesses in the St. Louis region can get some major capital.
The St. Louis County Economic Council teamed-up with Edward Jones for a business plan competition.
Companies must fill out an application and submit a business plan. The first place winner will receive $50,000, second place will win $30,000 and third place will receive $20,000.
The three winners will also get financial, legal and marketing help for their business.
Every for-profit industry sector is eligible and businesses have to be new or in its early stage with no more than $100,000 in annual revenue. The deadline for submitting applications is March 9, 2010.
