ST. LOUIS -- Sen. Kit Bond said the Chinese are still interested in launching a Midwestern air cargo hub at St. Louis' Lambert airport.
Bond just returned from china, where he met with top government officials and won assurances that the long-discussed project is still a priority.
But Chinese officials said the project must be viable to proceed.
Bond said the proposed Midwest-china hub would bring much needed jobs to the Missouri.
