Eastern Missouri Small Business Week winners announced

The Eastern Missouri winners have been announced for Small Businesss Week 2011, sponsored by the Small Business Administration St. Louis District Office. The winners of Small Business Week awards are:
- Small Business Team of the Year - Elizabeth Pecha-Poelker, CEO; Steve Baum, president; and Jeff Feeney, general manager of PrintFlex Graphics Inc., St. Louis.
- SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year - Derek Weber, president and Brandon Dempsey, partner of goBRANDgo!, St. Louis.
- Financial Services Champion of the Year - Richard M. Palank, senior vice president of business finance of St. Louis County Economic Council, St. Louis.
- Home-Based Business Champion of the Year - Suzanne M. Lunnemann, accountant and owner of Lunnemann Accounting Services LLC, Kirkwood.
- Minority Small Business Champion of the Year - Robert J. Peters, senior associate of Dungy, Peters & Associates LLC, St. Louis.
- Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year - Jeremy P. Amick, assistant director of Missouri
- U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Service, Jefferson City.
- Women in Business Champion of the Year - Dorothy Gaynor Lockard, president of Dietrich Lockard Group Inc., St. Louis.
Of these local winners, Suzanne Lunnemann and Jeremy Amick have advanced to become SBA Region VII winners, which includes the states of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.
