Thirty entrepreneurs have advanced to the semi-final round of the 2010 St. Louis Regional Business Plan Competition presented by St. Louis County Economic Council and sponsored by Edward Jones. Judges provided by Innovate Venture Mentoring Service and the Service Core of Retired Executives evaluated 226 applications.

In the semi-finals, entrepreneurs submit their entire business plan, which will be judged based on innovation, feasibility, funding, growth potential, quality, adaptation to change, strength of management team, and internal organization. A list of the 30 semi-finalists can be found on www.slcec.com.

Six plans will qualify for the final round, where entrepreneurs will make a presentation to five finalist judges. First, second and third place winners will be announced June 1 and awarded $50,000, $30,000 and $20,000 respectively, along with professional mentoring, marketing, legal, and accounting services.
