From the June 2007 edition of Newsweek

Seven public high schools in St. Louis County were recently recognized by Newsweek magazine as part of a grouping of the best public high schools in the nation.

The magazine listed the top 1,257 public institutions in the United States and ranked them through a variety of means.

Making the list was: Ladue Horton Watkins (263), Clayton (321), Lafayette (601), Marquette (625), Rockwood Summit (675), Eureka (705) and Lindbergh (759).

St. Louis County had the largest number of representative schools on the list for Missouri.  Only three other high schools in the state were cited by Newsweek.
