Plant science company SyMyCo plans to add 80 new jobs at the Bio-Research and Development Growth Park at the Danforth Plant Science Center in Creve Coeur.
Gov. Jay Nixon plans to hold a news conference at the incubator on Tuesday afternoon to announce the new jobs and take a tour of the company's laboratory.
The economic slowdown has put the brakes on construction of two buildings planned for the Bio-Research and Development Growth Park. The original blueprint for the life science incubator included three buildings with a total of 450,000 square feet. But so far, BRDG Park includes only the $36 million, 110,000-square-foot Building I, which opened in June 2009 and is currently 75 percent occupied.
Additional details about the new SyMyCo jobs were not immediately known.
