Fenton Chrysler Plant to be sold? Local group makes offer

Could someone find a new use for the approximately five million square feet at the now vacant Chrysler plant in Fenton?
The President and CEO of the St. Louis County Economic Council said the county was in discussion with what he called a "consortium of local business developers" who is interested in purchasing the property.
Denny Coleman said the offer would turn the 290-acre site into an alternative and renewable energy technology and business park.
The property has been vacant since Chrysler closed the plant in the fall 2009.
The St. Louis County Economic Council was founded in 1984 to foster growth and prosperity in the county.
