St. Louis, MO, September 8, 2010 - St. Louis County is taking the next steps in developing a master
plan and feasibility study for Jamestown Mall and seeking public input to share ideas and vision for the revitalization of the mall site. A hands-on design session facilitated by Dover Kohl & Partners will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, September 9 at the student center multi-purpose room at
St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley.

"This is an important next step for the future of Jamestown Mall, and the community's input is critical
to the overall success of the master plan and determining what's feasible and what's not," said St. Louis County Executive Charlie A. Dooley.

In addition, a number of other public events will be held at the Community College following the design session including:

- Open Design Studio: 9 a.m. -7 p.m. Friday September 10 -Monday, September 13
Stop by the studio to talk with design team and provide input as plan evolves.
- Open House: 10:30 a.m. - noon, Saturday, September 11
View the design team's work to date and provide feedback on the plan
- Final Work-in Progress Presentation: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 14
See the work completed during the past week.

"The design team will "design in public" throughout the sessions. If members of the public can only attend one event, we recommend that it be the hands-on session on Thursday, September 9 during which participants will have an opportunity to draw their ideas," said Pamela Stacy, project manager with Dover Kohl & Partners.

Last July, nearly 300 people attended the kick-off meeting at Jamestown Mall 14 Cine', which outlined
the steps leading to Thursday's event. Project team members were also introduced including Dover Kohl & Partners, H3 Studio, Urban Advisors and Vector Communications.
