The push to revive Jamestown Mall in Florissant is picking up steam. The county's economic council hired urban planners to come up with ideas to redevelop the mall - possibly taking it from a large, indoor shopping mall to a village with shops, restaurants, offices and apartments.
The county economic council wants the planners to seek public input and develop a concept the county could take to the mall's five owners, and shop around to developers.
The financing is not yet in place, and the county has already paid $165,000 to hire the urban planners.
