Express Scripts mulls North County expansion

Express Scripts is considering expanding its ESI Mail Pharmacy Service subsidiary with a new $60 million facility either in north St. Louis County or Bucks County, Pa.
The project would include a 221,000-square-foot pharmaceutical dispensing facility. The new facility would create 269 jobs and be capable of delivering up to 70,000 prescriptions a day.
Locally, Express Scripts is considering a site in the NorthPark Business Park, which is located just north of the company's headquarters on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Express Scripts has requested state funding for the project, including $3 million in BUILD Missouri Bonds.
The company also has sought incentives for the project in Buck County, where it already operates two facilities.
