Lambert now has wireless Internet

St. Louis Post Dispatch - Friday, Sep. 28 2007

ST. LOUIS %u2014 Lambert Field now has wireless access to the Internet.

St. Louis Airport Authority officials on Thursday announced the completion of a new Wi-Fi network inside its terminals and concourses to be provided by Concourse Communications.

Airport spokesman Jeff Lea said the network has been slowly rolled out to the St. Louis airport for the last couple of months.

"Basically, once you activate your computer and hit Explorer, it automatically comes up to the Wi-Fi Lambert welcome page." Lea said.

The service will cost $7.95 a day.

Travelers with a Wi-Fi subscription can use their own provider accounts, Lea said. Concourse has roaming agreements with AT&T, Boingo, iPass, T-Mobile, Go Remote and Orange France.

Costs will be based on the user's subscription agreement.

Still, Lambert Wi-Fi users can access some websites at no cost, including the airport's site, Explore St. Louis, St. Louis Gateway Arch, the Metro transit agency, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association.
