Mo. ranks No. 18 for business climate
From the St. Louis Business Journal, Monday, November 5, 2007 - 1:46 PM CSTSite Selection magazine's November 2007 issue named Missouri the 18th best state in the nation in which to do business.
Illinois ranked No. 13 and North Carolina was named the top state for the third consecutive year, and for the sixth time in the last seven years.
The annual business climate rankings are determined by performance of the state in new and expanded business facility activity and by a survey of corporate site-seekers across the country, in which they were asked to rank their top 10 states according to the ease of doing business and overall business costs.
Fifty percent of the total score is based on a survey of corporate real estate decision makers and 50 percent comes from data associated with actual project activity.
