St. Louis County gets grant for air hub study

The St. Louis County Council on Tuesday accepted a federal grant of $1 million for studies about and marketing of a hub for freight going by air between the United States and China. Mike Jones, senior policy adviser for County Executive Charlie A. Dooley, said a major part of the study is to determine whether a "business case" exists for the project. The study would determine whether the hub would work as a business, Jones said. If the study finds it would not, the commission would drop the project, he said.
