Members of the St. Louis County Council and the St. Charles County Council will host a first-ever meeting between the two organizations tonight.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at 6 p.m. at the St. Louis County Council Chamber at 41 S. Central in Clayton.

The two groups will focus on economic development, transportation and quality of life issues. One of the topics that will be discussed is wireless Internet services in the two counties.

"The focus will be how can we, the two biggest counties in the state, improve on these shared issues," said Mac Scott, director of communications for St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley.

St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann and St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley spearheaded the joint meeting of the two councils. The two groups will meet quarterly.
