Speaking of the China Project, Lambert-St. Louis International Airport announced this week what may prove to be one of the most important airfield development transactions in the Airport's 90-year history. Pending final approval by the City of St. Louis, this agreement gives Aero St. Louis LLC the "green light" to develop 76 acres of airport property with air cargo distribution warehouses to bolster trade efforts - particularly with China.
On a related note, last month, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon committed $1.1 million in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant funding to capitalize the next critical stages of the "St. Louis Big Idea with China."
