St. Louis County Economic Council, St. Louis County Port Authority and St. Louis County's Department of Planning received national recognition for their innovative solutions in the transformation of a blighted site - the Lemay riverfront - into a new significant community asset.

Rick Palank, senior vice president for the Economic Council's Business Finance Division, has been named Financial Services Champion for his advocacy efforts as well as developing innovative loan programs, resulting in increased financial services for small businesses.

American Society of Landscape Architects, St. Louis Chapter - Merit Award
ASLA recognized Jefferson Barracks master plan for its strengths in three main areas: planning, research and communications. The master plan was deemed one of the outstanding examples of recent works that publicize the contributions these projects have on the quality of life of the citizens regionally, nationally, and worldwide.
