Steve J. Anderson

Steven J. Anderson is vice president of business development for the St. Louis County Economic Council and is charged with responsibility for the attraction, retention and expansion of business in St. Louis County. He has extensive experience in business, development and business issues.

His responsibilities include initial negotiation of incentives and abatements for companies in St. Louis County as well as project management. Examples of recent projects in which he has been involved include: Ford Motor Company Retention, GKN Aerospace, Mills Mall, American TV, DST Systems, Packaging Concepts, GMACI, Centocor Biologics, and regional retail and industrial projects. Anderson has been involved in economic development for a number of years and a licensed attorney since 1986 (Missouri, California, Central District of California, and admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court). Anderson is a member of several Boards, is involved in civic endeavors, and participates in fund-raising activities for charities (AMFAR, Starlight, etc.), and the arts.
