The owners, investors and employees, of these businesses appreciate and understand that the pro-business climate of St. Louis County is an excellent generator of wealth for both companies and individuals. In fact, A 2002 Brookings Institute study ranked St. Louis as #1 in the nation in per capita income growth. This study underscored the importance of wealth creation, as opposed to population growth, as the key factor explaining a metro area’s economic health. |
| |
In addition to its pro-business climate, St. Louis County ranks as
one of the top urban counties in the United States in terms of quality of life. |
| |
So whether it is our central geographic location, our strong support for businesses, our highly productive workforce, prominence in advanced manufacturing and advanced technologies, low cost, or cultural amenities — St. Louis County is an excellent place for employees to live and companies to prosper. |
