North County Inc. names board president
North County Inc.'s board of directors has elected Lillie Dumas, vice president and branch manager of Commerce Bank, as its 2009 president. Her one-year term began Jan. 1.
Dumas succeeded Mark Tranel, who served as North County Inc.'s president in 2007 and 2008.
"I look forward to working with the NCI board of directors as we maneuver through the challenging days ahead of us, and to assist in focusing our efforts in areas of critical concern to both the region and the organization," Dumas said.
Dumas, a Florissant resident for 26 years, has worked in the banking industry for 28 years and currently focuses on working with small-business owners. She has served on North County Inc.'s board since 2004. She is a member of the Florissant Rotary and the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, and she is a fellow with St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative Organization.
The other 2009 officers are: Kim Bakker, SSM DePaul Health Center, first vice president; David Reed, St. Louis Mills, second vice president; Richard P. Dorsey, Ahlheim and Dorsey, third vice president; Fletcher Wells II, St. Johns Bank and Trust, treasurer; Hannah Folmar, Edward Jones; secretary; and Mark Tranel, Public Policy Research Center, UM-St. Louis, past president.
New members of the board are: Cheryl Compton, superintendent of the Ritenour School District; Fire Chief Terry Loehr, Pattonville Fire District; State Rep. Gina Walsh; and St. Ann Councilwoman Helen Weissler.
