New Economic Development Committee Formed
Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber seeks input from area businesses

The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce has formed an Economic Development Committee made up of representatives of prominent business owners in the community, liaisons from the cities of Crestwood and Sunset Hills, and leading citizens of both communities.

The mission of this committee is to act as a voice between the business community and local governments, communicating the needs and concerns of the business community back to the two cities.

Further, the committee is dedicated to ensuring that new businesses are attracted to Crestwood and Sunset Hills.

The Chamber’s Economic Development Committee is currently conducting a brief survey of area businesses — both non-chamber and chamber members.

Business owners who have not been contacted may visit the chamber’s Web site at: www.ourchamber.com and click on the “Business Survey” icon on the home page to download the survey.

In conjunction with the business survey, the chamber also invites residents to participate in a special residential survey, aimed at compiling information on shopping habits and needs of residents.

The residential survey is also available on the home page of the Chamber’s Web site. Those interested may also call the chamber office at 843-8545 to obtain a copy of either survey.

Completed surveys can be mailed to the chamber office at 9058-A Watson Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63126, or faxed to 843-8526.

Survey results will be reported to local governments and will be made public at an open forum to be scheduled in each city early in 2009.
