Kirkwood Recognized For Financial Reporting

For the sixth straight year, the City of Kirkwood has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).

The award specifically cites the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for excellence.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Kirkwood has been the recipient of this award for six straight years, beginning in 2003.

Kirkwood's CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story. The Kirkwood CAFR can be accessed in its entirety on the City's Website: www.ci.kirkwood.mo.us.
