On Saturday, Norman Myers Park was filled with Overland residents who braved heat and humidity to celebrate their city's 70th anniversary.

Hundreds of people danced and listened to the tunes of Sh-Boom, which specializes in 1950s music. Participants also enjoyed barbecued food during the evening event.
