Edward Jones ranked No. 1 for customer satisfaction

Edward Jones ranks highest for customer satisfaction for the fourth year out of the past five, according to a new J.D. Power and Associates report on full-service investment firms.

St. Louis-based Edward Jones, led by CEO Jim Weddle, scored 784 on a 1,000-point scale, performing particularly well in ratings for convenience and account statements.

The scale measures overall investor satisfaction with full-service investment firms based on six factors: financial adviser; convenience; investment performance; account offerings; account statements; and fees.

The study is based on responses from nearly 4,500 investors who make some or all of their investment decisions with a financial adviser and was fielded from March to April.

St. Louis-based Wachovia Securities, now Wells Fargo Advisors, ranked 11th overall with a score of 721. Wells Fargo Investments ranked 12th with 708. Wachovia Securities was renamed Wells Fargo Advisors in May, after San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE:WFC) bought Charlotte, N.C.-based Wachovia Corp.
