Davidson Surface Air
Davidson Surface Air, an international logistics company providing shipping, warehousing and inventory control services, was the first recipient of St. Louis County Economic Council's unique BOOST loan program. Davidson's $500,000 BOOST loan was completed simultaneously with Great Southern Bank, which provided $1.2 million.
Don Davidson started his company in 1981 in his basement with two trucks, one customer and no employees. Since then, it has evolved into a global company which has 25 employees, a fleet of 50 trucks and revenues exceeding $4 million.
BOOST is an alternative loan program to the SBA 504, offering less restrictive requirements to borrowers seeking financing for the purchase or construction of land, buildings, machinery, and equipment within St. Louis County. It also provides up to 90 percent financing, low floating interest rates or a variable fixed rate, no prepayment penalty for floating rate, and a 20-year term.
