Donald Danforth Plant Science Center
The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, located in Creve Coeur, is a not-for-profit research institute that was founded in 1998 with a global vision to improve the human condition through plant science. The state-of-the-art building provides research and training facilities, as well as a library, lecture auditorium, greenhouses, and growth chambers.
The Danforth Center’s $75 million facility opened in 2001. The 150,000-square-foot building houses 15 laboratory suites, 32 plant growth chambers, 19 custom-designed growth rooms, a 12,000-square-foot greenhouse complex, and over 200 scientists.
