In 2000, Mike and Cindy Miller started International Mulch Company, the market leader in recycled rubber products for residential, commercial and municipal landscaping. The company gives tires a second life as a wood mulch substitute, which is sold at Ace Hardware, True Value, Lowe's, Costco, and Home Depot.
International Mulch first utilized the SBA 504 loan to purchase its Bridgeton, MO location. The company also received two investments from the Saint Louis Business Development Fund totaling $470,000 for growth capital needs.
