Monsanto Company, a leading global provider of technology-based solutions and agricultural products that improve farm productivity and food quality, is one of the largest employers in St. Louis with more than 4,000 workers.
Headquartered in Creve Coeur, Monsanto also has employees based locally in Chesterfield and Maryland Heights. In 2008, the company signed a lease to occupy a second office building in Maryland Heights, and in 2010, purchased Chesterfield Village Research Center where it will house 1,200 employees, over 25 greenhouses, more than 100 growth chambers and seven tissue culture warm rooms.
